Frequent Powerloss
Greetings to All

Great website and great community. I apologize if this has been discussed. I am visting family in Krakow and have had the pleasure of driving my uncle's vehicle. Its a 2009 TDCi 110. It only has....5985KM. He travels alot so he finds no time to enjoy the truck. The truck is having an issue with going into limp mode.

You drive it for 15km, pull to a light or stop sign, then shift from 1st to 2nd and nothing happens.
To fix it, pull over shut it and restart. The truck then drives like a top.

The three weeks I have been here, one week nothing happened, one day in the morning it happened first thing. A couple of days later it did and it didnt want to get out of limp mode, luckly I was a couple kilometers from home. Next morning it was fine.

I have removed the EGR valve, cleaned it, still doing it. I checked the MAF sensor. Its clean.
Any help would be greatful. 2009 Alaska White TDCi 110

These symptoms sound the same as I experienced. It was rectified under Service Action QO68:

Thanks Lorryman100,

As far as I know and have been told, the truck is up to date on available software downloads.
I have been reading the other PowerLoss thread and may look at getting a new fuel filter.

When the power loss occurs, all that needs to occur to gain power again, is shutting off the truck and restarting it. I would presume that blockage in the filter would be ruled out.

Sometimes the truck runs even better then before the power loss, more power and the engine seems louder but very responsive.

Thanks for the kind offer John

I was able to get a fault code, P121C-00 (cylinder balance - injector leaking).
Is this a common error? Any idea what to look for?

Did you solve this problem...........I am throwing similar codes with similar symptoms??
