It should read about 50 to 60 Kg/Hr at idle and between 500 to 550 Kg/Hr at 3000rpm. Never seen it but apparently Max value for Air Flow is 700 kg/hr.
It can be affected by engine operating temp etc ...

Yep.
MAF sensor problems can cause loss of power at all ranges, but is more noticeable when cold.
You don't often notice MAF isssues at high revs as the MAF degrades gradually.

Never heard of an fpr hissing. Do you have an associated. Leak?
Is the hissing from the fpr or could it be from the exhaust manifold?

I've heard a few people refer to the TD5 as a BMW engine. I think its because the TD5 appeared around the time that BMW bought LR and people assumed that it was a BMW derived engine.

There is no adjustment for clutch release bearing problems. But there is adjustment on the clutch master cylinder rod to ensure the clutch isn't engaged when the pedal is up and is fully disengaged.

A lot of them do it but shouldn't really. Mine does but only when its cold and first thing in the morning. I find dipping the clutch, selecting nuetral and starting the gear selection process stops it ...

That's the actual fuel pressure regulator. The rest of the bits are the housing n ports etc.
I'm not sure why there would be oil under there. You sure its not diesel you saw?
