i watched a video of a citroen Picasso that was right into the 500k, and i thought of you. Wont be long before Millie hits that mileage. I had fuel problems too, turned out to be the fuel pump. The garage who worked on it before, put a cheap one in. Rolling Eyes Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

One day my pioneer unit decided not to work, so i took it out of it's home to have a good look to see if i could find anything wrong, not at first but with more investigating i found that the connectors that deal with the speaker wires were for some reason not connecting properly, so i cut them off of the connectors and joined them up, plugged the pioneer in again and nothing Sad so i had a Idea moment and got my old Sony unit that the pioneer replaced and it all worked, so binned the pioneer unit and had the Sony in for a while

not to long as i can't stand that beeping when you turn the ignition off Evil or Very Mad
So after doing some homework, i have got this unit in, while i was fitting it in i bought some colour coded speaker wire connectors and fitted them in properly. I'm still getting use to it, early days but the sound quality is so much better Very Happy

I had this bit of metal lying about Wink and thought that it would do the job, it was just right with a few extra holes drilled in it.

In it's place and doing it's job

As i'm not trying to overload this thread in one go, a bit more for you . . . . . .

On the way home from town on a Saturday, late afternoon, around this time last year i was in a line of about five cars, i was the fourth one and all of us were keeping good distances between us all, then all of a sudden there was this almighty bang, really made me jump Rolling Eyes
After the initial shock, whilst looking forward there was a big bird on my bonnet, there was a youngish buzzed looking about ( were all doing about 35-40 mph at the time ) luckily there was a pull in just in the right place, so i come to a stand still and the buzzed jumps off so he can get it's bearings, it was ok and then i carried on home, then it suddenly dawned on me that i will need a new windscreen, luckily my local windscreen place had one in stock and got it fitted on the Monday or the Tuesday Very Happy
This is the damage that the buzzed did by just flying from a stand sill from a branch in the hedge, i hope that you can see all the windscreen cracks . . .

As the tailgate latches were getting very worn, these have been on from when Millie came off the production line, i decided to put these nice black ones on from a member from this community, much better fit

I have a had some right close shaves, with the peugeot, One with a grouse, on holiday, We were heading back to the campsite, and all of a sudden this grouse, decides to just go for it from the other side of the road. I was doing 40mph at the time, My dad smiled and said, what you going to do, i said this, and hit the brakes. To this very day, i am pretty sure i tagged its tail. The other time was going to work, when two pigeons decided to have a right barney on the road. They still didnt move when i was coming to wards them. They just say brushed the window screen when they did decide to move, laugh was they were still at it. Laughing Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back
