Think that would be more appropriate about yourself,, You have tried to make your point, some may agree, most may not, but you are now repeating yourself California F1, 75th 110 "Kermit", 50th Ann V8, 90 V8 Hybrid, 55 Series 1 Main Brian James Trailer Dealer for South West UK |

Why???? I have the time to do the recces and research myself. I am confident enough in my own ability to read a map whilst driving. And have a look at the definitive map for the curent legal status rather than just looking at a 5 yr od map or using MM. 110 D250 SE HT 110 USW SOLD RRE HSE Dynamic Gone, wife killed it VOLVO XC60 R Dynamic with some toys Polaris RZR 900XP SOLD |

This is why I don't bother organising day trips any more, some people expect everything, others don't want to pay and others play up on the day
However I do organise the Pot Noodle Challenge and charge for the 2 day event, why do I charge? well we spend days clearing the routes and making them safe to guarantee that no one gets any damage. We spend two days setting out the clues etc etc. A lot of people complain about the charge and don't attend others who attend the event would pay twice what we charge knowing that they are in safe hands. Its horses for courses I suppose. My comments above are not aimed at anyone btw. 130's have feeling's as well you know |

You can't please all people all of the time!!!
Better for people to learn Green laning from experienced guys, than just hope for the best when out in the wilds. |

that was my initial thoughts too, we were going to do the research and get the B&B bookings, and most importantly for me if i were attending - recce the routes to find routes that were suitable for our vehicles. I am sure many people have been along on a day when they say; 'it will be fine for your £30k car the scratches will polish out' as you watch them disappear down a tight lane in an old 90! If i knew of lanes in my part where i wouldnt need to get out and check them and therefore stay away from home i would of just offered to lead on a forum trip out. But i don't they are all either reclassified, TOR'd or very tight. i think going with a group gives you confidence as you can see other vehicles covering the same obstacle, you get the social side of it and there is always plenty of advice on hand. There was even an LRE instr coming, good or bad that is i dont know! Cheers James 110 2012 XS Utility 130 2011 M57 bespoke Camper 90 2010 Hardtop 90 M57 1988 Hardtop |

As a relative newcomer to the world of green laning I couldn't agree more TJ/JST .... subject cost/dates (are you thinking this year or next??) then I'd be interested...... if a Td5 owner is permitted on the PUMA lanes Jon - 110 td5 [sold]. Currently Defenderless. |

Dates wise, i was going to see how many came forward and when they wanted to go. Cost wise, i was going to get nos and then go back to the B&B to negotiate a rate and the same for a meal Sat night. I was thinking next year really. Cheers James 110 2012 XS Utility 130 2011 M57 bespoke Camper 90 2010 Hardtop 90 M57 1988 Hardtop |

James, dependent on date we could well be up for it.
The big question would be shall we come in the black 300 TDi which has some battle scars and is quite capable or should it be the 110 TDCi USW? Decisions, decisions Good luck with your trip organising and thanks for considering other forum users! Brendan PS We have done a few green lanes and yes Barbara can read a paper map as well as Memory Map etc! |

to be fair to fekete, I don't know the guy at all but being that we live in the same neck of the woods he has offered me a place the next time he heads out that way, only the limited crop from the money tree has stoped me. NOW EVERY ONE KISS AND MAKE UP OR I'M TAKING AWAY YOUR SWEETS!!!!!!!!! |
