I've got Walk Away Locking working on my MY22 UK Spec HSE.

Not quite as simple as that statement implies though. First I enabled the WiFi Hotspot, left the cat for 30 minutes and nothing - it did not appear as an option. An hour later I tried enabling Walk Away Locking - left it switched off for 30 minutes afterwards - nothing.

After driving it on a short journey and leaving it for a couple of hours both options were there in Pivi when I started up again and both work.

If you change a setting and it doesn't appear after you have left the car to go to sleep, try rebooting the Pivi-Pro system and it will usually appear when it restarts Thumbs Up Cheers Ian

Yes, I was aware of that. Unfortunately I use a lot of rural destinations in the SatNav that require a Lat and Long input due to JLR's total inability to get a working system for Web Based favorites (like the previous incarnation of InControl had). The added benefit of WiFi Hotspot and Walk Away Locking pale into insignificance when a Pivi Pro reset wipes everything out! So I just got my tool up and running, managed to make the well-documented changes from the thread successfully.

Found a couple weird things in my 2022 P400 Xdynamic HSE:
    - I don’t have a locking gas cap, but seems like walk away locking does not work (unfortunately).
    - I see in my config that I have matrix lights and I’m in the US… also looking through my headlights I see a grid of LEDs?

So does anyone know how to turn on the adaptive headlights, since I think the previous owner may have upgraded them for me?

Hello,

this coding of the front lights is set by default on all versions, even those with basic LED lights.

* EUCD-014 Headlights, Type
Matrix LED AFS123/IHB,

the main coding of the front lights is this: * MultiCAN-679 HeadlightsVariant
Headlamp_Variant_Low_A

where low : basic led lights; medium: premium led lights; hight: led matrix headlights

A Pivi-pro reboot shouldn't delete any data at least I'm pretty sure it hasn't on mine and I've rebooted it quite a few times, heck it even keeps me logged in after the reboot Confused Cheers Ian

Well that’s super disappointing that they all say Matrix! I was giving Sanctuary2325 (my cars previous owner) too much credit! 😆

When I look at “MultiCAN-679 HeadlightsVariant” I see Headlamp_Variant_Mid_C, so I’m guessing that’s premium LED? Weird that I see a grid of stacked LEDs when I look in the lens though? Maybe that’s normal high/low beam?

I did turn it on in settings, but nothing seemed to happen when I tested it. Granted I’m not 100% sure how to test it besides locking the doors, walking away, then walking up to the car and waiting for it to unlock…

It only locks the car, it doesn't unlock it. When it is enabled walk away from the car. When it senses the key is about 10 feet or more away it should lock if it works. Defender D300 HSE 110 MY22 Pangea Green

Yes please share your settings, I've got dynamic mode and my ambient lighting goes red but the dials don't Confused

I seem to have lost my backup camera and surround view cams so if anyone has tips on those I’d appreciated it. Have tried a dozen odd permutations on the front and side camera setting with no luck.

With your cameras have you tried reading the fault codes for the car and have you rebooted the Pivi screen? Cheers Ian
