Hi Andy,

That’s from Nick at RW Engineering. I've asked for technical details a couple of times but nothing has been forthcoming. It seems Nick is overrun with work so I've spoken with Martin (futuranet) and he thinks he can put something similar together.

Martin has made no promises apart from he’s going to look at it.

I'm going to wait for Martin as I'm using the rest of his kit and it keeps it all together, plus it will probably be at least 6 months before I get anywhere near to thinking about the cluster.

Martins System controller will do everything else I need.

This is also the way I'm planning on integrating the TMPS into the display, via a can bus TPMS unit from tyrepal.

I wasn't very clear on integration between the GM ECU and LR systems. I'm removing the LR ECU and replacing it with the system controller from Futuranet, that will not only integrate the GM ECU via canbus but will also do all the other function that I need (ABS/AC, cluster etc etc..) If the remote display gets off the ground that will be able to show all the GM info as well as gears.

If anyone else is interested please give Martin a call as the more people that show interest the more chances it has of happening.

Does the gearbox come with a standard tune for the supplied engine?

Turnkey provide a complete package and tune engine and GB to work specifically with the defender(thats there sales pitch anyway). They upgrade the CAM and tune for around 525BHP (think 450 is standard). They provide the complete package so that it's just plug and play my end, well that’s how the story has started let wait and see.

They run every package they sell to check it all works together, thus eliminating any gremlins that may be in any of the components or the loom.

Calipers and Rotors arrived, unfortunately the rotors are wrong they should have been fully floating so they have to go back....

Sorry not the best photos I was in a rush.

I've now blasted every single bracket, boxed up all the nuts and bolts ready to go off to the platers tomorrow.

Whilst I've not had that much to do I could get on with the fuel system, this is my outline design, I'd be happy to get any advice.....

Interested to see how it all works out - I was looking at the “budget” method of buying a pull-out driveline with an already-matched box.

a few changes to the fuel layout. AN-06 with 8mm hose was probably on the small side so now changed to the AN-08 with 11mm hose, which should be good for upto 650 BHP.

Pretty much all there is to it. The pressure gauge is a good idea. My recent regulator issue may encourage me to fit one. Andy

Can you run the GM Corvette fuel filter then just have to run return to that?

Fitting up the rear axles with new stub axles.

The kit I've bought has got two gaskets one larger one with an ABS sensor cut out and a rather flimsy paper one with no abs cut out.

I'm using the ABS one (as I'm adding ABS) but it is bigger than the flimsy paper one and sticks out the sides of the flange.

It seems strange to have two gaskets of differing materials and sizes with different cut outs? Or gaskets for different models perhaps but why is the one with the ABS cut out soo much bigger?

Am I missing something???

After the britpart bulkhead removal bar debarcle tried the PPCages one and it fitted with no problems. So all the tub repairs are nearly done just left to fit the side rails and then EM121 to the base.
