Given that this is a pathetic EU fine, why do JLR care now? Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

The driver has owned up on the FB group to being a JLR employee and it’s a “company” car. Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed! |

Hi,
Strange that it’s badged “p400e”. I noticed ours isn’t badged D250 or HSE when we collected it. Looks like 21MY don’t get a designation like the 4-pots did, hence my “strange” comment😀👍 Scrumps 90 D250 HSE Tasman Blue 24MY L461 RRS Verasine Blue 05 TD5 90 CSW Cairns Blue 1967 MGB BRG 1944 Willy’s MB OD green 1942 Willy’s MB OD green |

For Switzerland it's based on CO2 and weight and is taxed on import. For an example for a V8 Defender the import duties are about CHF 12,750.
Realistically for those buying a highly polluting expensive cost it's not a huge issue. The tax really effects lower cost vehicles with higher-than-average CO2. The most common FFRR here seems to be the supercharged petrol. |

From another forum I frequent - on charge inside.
Battery charger shorted due to being damaged when trapped in closing door. Click image to enlarge Rgds. Chris |

And that was no charging cable fire in my opinion, you can see how fast it went up by the lack of surrounding damage and the intact ceiling. The whole back of the car is gone, right where the giant lithium battery goes.

No reason to think it’s a PHEV though - at my local dealer all the cars are always connected to a battery charger. To keep the thing alive with all the people opening & closing doors, fiddling with the radio, and the DRLs etc on all night. Cheers, David Land Rovers of all shapes S3 onwards… Daily is a 110 V8. |

Plus you’d never short a high voltage cable by trapping it in a door etc...
A cheapo little battery charger on the other hand... Cheers, David Land Rovers of all shapes S3 onwards… Daily is a 110 V8. |

Hi,
It was registered on the 2nd March 21 as a 2.0 petrol so (from what I can find) it’s either a P300 or P400e.
