Due to time and inclement weather, I've spent the last couple of weeks, on and off, fitting a set of Nakatanenga seat covers bought from 4x4 Overlander. They're by no means the cheapest on the market but they have several features that particularly appealed to me including the Cordura-like material with breathable mesh facings, the large pockets in the rear and the Velcro and MOLLE attachment points, which I'm sure I'll find a use for

Ooh look, a shiny thing! Curtesy of Gwyn Lewis, this adjustable and greasable A-frame ball joint arrived today and very nice it looks, too
Click image to enlarge The 110 is booked in for a service next week so I'm having this fitted at the same time. I'm hoping it will cure an annoying clonk from the rear, every time it goes from reverse to forward. Ball joint looks very nice and shiny! Thinking about doing mine next year. You’ll have to report back if it cures the clonk.

Just time for a bit of frippery, today. A little while ago somebody (sorry, can't remember who) posted about an aluminium fuel cap cover that they'd bought on eBay and repainted. I was quite taken with this thing but in its' original colour and so duly ordered one:
Click image to enlarge It's essentially a close-fitting aluminium cap for the existing plastic fuel cap and I must say that for the money it's very nicely made. It's secured with two pieces of double-sided foam tape but because it's such a snug fit, they don't take any of the force applied to open or close it. Click image to enlarge Fitting took seconds after I degreased the existing cap with some white spirit. Click image to enlarge Whilst it won't make it go faster, handle better or become a more formidable off-roader, it does add a splash of colour to an otherwise grey exterior and that makes me happy Darren 110 USW BUILD THREAD - EXPEDITION TRAILER - 200tdi 90 BUILD THREAD - SANKEY TRAILER - IG@landroveranorak "You came in that thing? Sorry Mitch, I could have sworn I'd replied to you but now can't see it Thanks for the kind words. I use Challenger 4x4 in Tongham for servicing. Meant to update this to say the clunk has gone! Yay Whilst it was being serviced, the mechanic also noticed that the central locking on the OSR door had stopped working. I was aware of this as it failed a couple of weeks ago but hadn't gotten around to fixing it yet. Anyway, he fixed it whilst it was there at no extra charge, so once more a big thumbs up for Challenger 4x4 Darren 110 USW BUILD THREAD - EXPEDITION TRAILER - 200tdi 90 BUILD THREAD - SANKEY TRAILER - IG@landroveranorak "You came in that thing?
