2010 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 USW Bonatti Grey

Slick shift ?

Any one fitted one ? , are they as good as they look ? , just thinking it might make a smoother entry when stiff .

Fitted one about 3 years ago - what a difference in the gear chages.

I can't see how having a shorter throw would achieve that, myself.

the one major improvement over the OEM unit is that it feels & operates like a 'gated' unit - so you're never hunting around for the correct gear.

everything also shifts with minimal input - so now you can change gears with your fingers instead of having to use your whole arm.

Slick Shift is not the right name. It feels more mechanical and precise. Smoother, it isnâ€™t. It encourages you to drive more smoothly.
