Steering Angle Sensor
Hi,

I’ve got a 2015 defender and it seems like the steering angle sensor is out of calibration when the steering is straight ahead I get a reading of 50 degrees and I think this is resulting in the feeling of slight traction control coming on when going over speed bumps.

I have a Hawkeye diagnostic that won’t calibrate the sensor back to 0 degrees. Can anybody tell me which of the diagnostic tools will recalibrate it or whether there is another way of doing it?

Thanks

It's part of the dynamic stability control system fitted to the last year of production vehicles.

Sorry, can't help with the query. It may be worth asking the makers of the IID Tool as that's a very comprehensive diagnostic tool. Darren

Mine broke on my D3 many years ago and couldn’t drive as it kept putting the breaks on , had to reset it and glue it with apoxie glue , excuse my spelling Whistle , the IID tool can calibrate it I think .
