I did give it some thought Charcoal, was even tempted to put a OM606 it her, but i don't want to cut the new-ish chassis for the engine mounts, so i have decided to keep her with the engine she came with 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up. Keeper. Clayton. |

I think you can get the BMW diesel in without cutting and shutting? There are plenty of them available! Worth a thought!

yeah good to keep with the original, or with a reworked original engine. When you start messing about like that you are going to go in deep. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back Success is 90% Inspiration and 4 minutes Preparation # you can make it! |

Thanks all and yes Procta, that was my thought in going this way as i need Millie for work and can't afford the time she would be off for the conversion
I have seen the video's on the cummin's, bmw and the om606 and i personally would go the om606 route 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up. Keeper. Clayton. |

A big day for me as i have now got Millie back home
I will start using her from Thursday as i have to take the hire van back tomorrow The only thing that has been put on different is the injection pump ( got from DEF2 ) as my original injection pump was starting to leak, other wise everything was took off my old engine to put on this one and she has a standard engine in again 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up. I love the fact that a knackered engine is not even near finishing your truck off. How many other vehicles would be near the 400k mark and then consider a replacement motor. I’m coming up to 100K and happy with that. Also the fact that there are so many options to replace with is unheard of in any other vehicle. Great that Millie is back on the road.
