Thanks again Very Happy

I know what you mean, but it's rewarding when it looks right after the time you have took over it Wink 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up.

Great paint job there pal, and neat little upgrade, sometimes you just have to test things out. I did a lot of that back in the metro days. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

I put a wanted in the for sale section for some door stay's and a big thank you to pj2106 for coming to the rescue Thumbs Up

The door was not staying open anymore unless you were facing down hill Rolling Eyes

so i started to change them over and found out why the door was not staying open, the first pic is the metal arm that attaches to the door and after 23 years the bearings were a little worn as in the newer one there was no movement or gaps .......

Then i undid the the metal bit that holds onto the bearing part and had a closer look as this is what i found ....

Shocked

So that is what it looks like after 23 years of use, very worn indeed Rolling Eyes

With the 2 newer pieces fitted, i can say that the door stays open now Very Happy Very Happy 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up.
