Yep good old push rod brakes, no cables or hoses in sight, all the blokes I work with were amazed how the brakes work as they had never seen anything like it 90 wolf - Jasmin http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic39408.html

Little job for tonight, the No 1 ball joint boot was shredded and the steering damper bushes were looking a little flat so time to fit some new bits

Yep makes a good work bench don’t think I can justify fitting a vice to it though might find a different place for that.
Small job update, in the bid to rectify the spongy brake pedal I decided to have a rummage in the trailer and pulled out two new front callipers and some pads, no idea on the fitting kit location so had to refit the old one until the new one arrives; Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge With all this work I might be able to see the back of the trailer soon 90 wolf - Jasmin http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic39408.html 90 V8 - Maggie http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic42564.html 110 TD5 - Buggsy http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic59029.html 52HG25 lightweight https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic72342.html D3 Hse - Fiona Capri 2l S - Anna Think I might have a problem............ |

If it's an artic trailer, then no chance you will see the back of it
You can always make a bracket and then bolt it to the vice and then on to the drop/adjustable plate on the dixon bate hitch, then you would have one ready and waiting when you need it and different heights 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up. Keeper. Clayton. |

Not quite she’s only a 20’ box trailer
Great minds think a like Clayton the current tow bar is a fixed one but I will be looking into a receiver hitch so I can do just that. 90 wolf - Jasmin http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic39408.html 90 V8 - Maggie http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic42564.html 110 TD5 - Buggsy http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic59029.html 52HG25 lightweight https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic72342.html D3 Hse - Fiona Capri 2l S - Anna Think I might have a problem............ |

Buggsy did her first drive today and to be fair it went well, no overheating, no warning lights and no worrying wobbles A few points; brakes still a little spongy for my liking so more work needed. The light bar definitely doesn’t light up the 361 very well but some hyper spots would add the the effect Oh and if you thought I had forgotten about the first line: Click image to enlarge No idea how but my HD drive flange but decided it would be better bouncing down what I think was the A35 So now I need to buy a new pair, oh and a center trim for the wheel 90 wolf - Jasmin http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic39408.html 90 V8 - Maggie http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic42564.html 110 TD5 - Buggsy http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic59029.html 52HG25 lightweight https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic72342.html D3 Hse - Fiona Capri 2l S - Anna Think I might have a problem............ |
