Got the lower vent nozzles assembled and installed today, I adjusted the design of the nozzle because I thought the previous version aimed the air too low, well unfortunately I think this aims the air too high, right at your face which isn't really ideal. I think version 2 will need some vertical air adjustment control.

Anyway here are the prototypes assembled installed Thumbs Up

As you can see, the base needs to have a larger lip to cover the profile in the dash to finish it better. But not bad for a first prototype Thumbs Up

Looking excellent!

Normally I would ask what material you are printing in for this sort of application but I don't think there's any risk of a defender heater melting/deforming plastic! Rolling with laughter

Well not on Tdis and Td5s at least, pumas have the opposite problem - it's like having a blowtorch on your leg!! Matt.

Tell me about it, when my puma was up to temperature you couldn't hold your hand in front of the top air vents on full heat and fan Shocked

To be fair though a properly adjusted tdi/5 heater is pretty effective. I have to turn mine down once the inside is up to temperature Thumbs Up

Another little mod I've done today is upgrade the springs in my wiper arms. The springs are out of the spare range rovers wiper arms. They are a direct swap and certainly improve the screen pressure!

A few photos for comparison Thumbs Up

Spring pressure before - box lifts all but 10mm of the blade off the screen

Spring pressure after - box only manages to lift half of the blade so quite an improvement I think Mr. Green

Also as you can see in the first picture, the actual pressed steel part of the range rover arm is thicker to prevent flex. I plan to shorten these arms for the defender to take advantage of the thicker material at some point Thumbs Up 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

By properly adjusted do you mean the cable on top of the heater box? I have noticed my green one is warmer than new blue one. I have checked the arm is on max adjustment with the Cable , but it's still only slightly warm Big Cry any suggestions appreciated Thumbs Up

New year new you Jim? Rolling with laughter

Yes the top cable needs to be properly adjusted to make the foam inside the heater box seal properly from unheated air.

Have you checked that the thermostat is good? the gauge may say normal but the blue one could be running cold.

Blue after all is a colder colour Whistle 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon
