Can anyone identify what part of the dash needs to be removed to access the jets. Just can't work it out from John's piccy.

Had a look at chaging the washer pump! Anyone taken a pump or tank out on an aircon 2.2 looks a pain for something so simple.

Upto the TD5 the bulkhead has 9mm holes where you can put the jets in. From the Puma there are different and much bigger holes, with an awkward shape. In these holes you can't put the regular jets, therefore i designed a spacer (hopefully i get the foto in this post Wink ) and then you can use the regular jets. And you don't have to change the pump, it's delivering sufficient water. Even when you spray from the front and the back at the same time.

Did this on mine today, the biggest problem is the length of the new jets, they are not long enough to allow for a gasket on the outside & a washer on the inside. The washer is necessary on the inside otherwise the brass nut on the jet will pull through the hole on the inside part of the window channel. I ground down a SS washer (& flattened one side) for the inside whilst using a good gob of gack (black gasket maker) for the outside. 2015 90 Hard Top

When I did this on my '05 110, I just fitted a washer to each new jet that compressed and sealed against the existing oval rubber grommet. Worked a treat.

Maybe the TD5 bulkhead where the jets go thro is slightly thinner? I’m sure I wouldn’t have got the nut on the back if I’d used your method on my TDCI 2015 90 Hard Top

Ref dash not having to come out in a puma- on mine I removed the center console (2 screws, pull to remove clips, remove wiring blocks), I then removed the metal bracket blocking the view of the back of the washer jet ( 8mm bolt, 4x plastic Christmas tree screw things with plugs) and simply tightened the washer jet mount with a 13mm deep socket after pulling pipe off the rear. Hopefully this helps someone. Realistically 15/20mins. Oh and a flashlight.

Holy Thread ressurrection! Started this seemingly easy job this morning but have hit a snag - the 4x Christmas tree screw things holding that bracket in position will not budge for me. Any helpful tips/simple things I may have missed? No amount of faffing about with screw driver bits in there is budging them. Leaving me with a half removed dash and a not replaced washer jet...

The things are a pain. Stick a small screwdriver between screw head and Scrivet body. Prise it up and out. Then under the scrivet body to prise that up and out.
I found as you have they will not unscrew being plastic on plastic.

The WSM states they are one time use throw away parts. But I have re-used.
The bracket isn’t safety critical it’s only a little support to HU rear and air ducting pipes.
The HU rear mount rubber is just as much of a pita too!

A forked trim tool, ideally metal would help too. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

Thanks for that - I have a forked trim tool but I managed to snap one tine off! Have something else that should do the trick. Thanks again...
