Few steps closer to sorting my Sankey camping setup. I used to use an old caravan awning hung off the side of my 110
Click image to enlarge Now I have my Sankey plus a top I can attach it to that and have my motor mobile. A couple of sheets of marine ply later and I have this. Click image to enlarge All the panels fix to the trailer and when travelling can be strapped to the roofrack on the trailer. Whilst I'm waiting for the awning rail the boy and I blobbed some paint on, you can just see the two other panels on the roofrack in their storage position. Click image to enlarge I don't want to tie up the trailer in just a camping mode as it's too useful for other purposes. Future ideas are a hatch in the side to allow access from under the awning for cooking/storage etc, I will put a ply platform inside the trailer on top of the wheel arches and use that for sleeping on with storage underneath, line the Ifor conopy with insulating foam and have a box for a leisure battery with charging via a 12N socket off the tow vehicle and have an inverter and perhaps an electric hook up thingy like on a caravan. |

Oops, that's not good. Guess you will need to plan a little trip to Gland soon... Hope you get it sorted without costing an arm and a leg. Eric You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |

Eric, will try to fix it myself, Gland would cost a fortune that said he has a black roof lying around but not sure I want to play around with removing the roof. 1997 Defender 90 300tdi

Strip the headlining out then Cut a block of wood to fit to the inner curve of the back of the roof then put the wood in place inside and hit the wood carefully with a sledge hammer until it all looks reasonably in the right place. Then seal where appropriate Ray My build thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic17615.html |

Just got back from a weekend in Devon using the old girl as a family bus. Forgot about the hills they have down they but she did good as always. Sorry no pictures I got blown over and soaked trying to take any. 1995 300 Tdi Epsom Green - It's a keeper.
