I love those lights, think they look fantastic on a defender, especially yours Thumbs Up

I would love to upgrade mine on my 110 but the price is astronomical for a full set! Big Cry Running Restoration Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/post323197.html#323197

Not sure why I left these so long but got the Urban Truck black fire and ice steps, while on with them ordered the Corris mirrors and some Dirt D fenders.

Then fitted the Croytec pegs front and rear... What a Pita. They are ok for the rears but the fronts where not fitting well at all and the central locking could not work... Spoke to Croytec and they have had issues but couldnt see the point returning them when I knew how to fix the problem...but they should advise you I think. Anyway had to grind off almost 2mm from the back.

Fed up with the kids opening the rear sliding windows randomly because the just can, but I never notice and keep coming back to see them slightly open! Just shows how vunerable these trucks are. Any way having some custom exterior guards being made at the minute.

PM on its way Peter... Thumbs Up

A couple of other small touches, always like to once and again remove the rubber mats all around to see the fancy carpets... have the premium mats in the front that are no better really but they have a nice aluminium badge on them. tracked the badges down so am adding them to the edges of the middle row mat and added then the rear load mat which i tried first. Just pushed through and secured with 3 starlock washers. Also got a free umbrella when i called into the dealer for a touch up pen... Smile

Had the spare off to clean around the mantec and get some acf-50 around it, thinking of turning my tyres now that the lettering has gone dull? What do we think?

Have one alloy badge left over so was thinking of attaching it here?

Great photos! I'm not normally a fan of white lettering out, but with black alloys I might have to admit it looks better maybe? Just black alloys and black tyres kind of merge together and not look as good. Just my opinion (and it often changes with each photo).

I think your are right... I got a tip of a mate earlier to use a little tar remover on a microfibre cloth on the letters and flip me, they come straight back to white....I can't believe I am cleaning the letters on my tyres, on my defender... I will get my coat Big Cry Andy

lol no need to get your coat Andy, iv'e been doing my letters every time i wash my landy, all i use is a scrubbing brush and a constant flow of cold water from the hose, as your using the brush and the side walls come up a treat as well, after iv'e cleaned them, my mates say you got new tyres then ! Thumbs Up

Cheers

Hi mcma1,

Absolutely cracking build thread you've got here. Started reading it and I got hooked, had to go and put the kettle on! Quality workmanship as well!
