Cheers Ray,
Would be nice to have the exact switch but I think for now I will get it all working and then see what exact I use the switch for...i have it only taking an illuminating feed at the minute so at least it looks like it does something important . This looks better and better every time I look at the thread, top job and great mods. Having said, I have just looked at your other thread for the previous truck and I see where the skills and attention to detail is coming from MY15 Aintree 110 SW - for sale - https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic82781.html

Ok so fitting an alpine camera as its plug and play into the double din...I was not sure about where to mount it as I didn't want it to catch shot of the rear washer as I need it to tilt enough to show the spare wheel to gauge how far off I am. Had considered moving the washer but then decided the make up a bracket to mount it to the rack. Really pleased. Cable will just run up front and come in with the spots

Now working on the double din install....
Trimmed the old dash back. You need to be really careful here as it's easy to make a balls of it. I roughly cut it back with a 4" 1.5mm disc and then took some time to sand it back. You need to keep the 2.5mm lip to have the new fascia meet up with the top nicely. Click image to enlarge Fitted back in... Click image to enlarge GPS antenna hidden away nicely here.... Double din fascia collected from the painter, another great job from him.
First thing is to transfer the switches and graphics...you just have to grind off the plastic welds that hold the graphic on and then just super glue them onto the new fascia. Be careful though as if you mark the graphic section it will show up when the lights are on. Also make sure you get a good fit onto the new fascia back to avoid any light escaping around the edges. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge I went with the LRI alpine kit, although no instructions come with it at all so you kinda need to just figure out the plan. You just need to bolt the brackets on to the back of the fascia, you then bolt the HU directly onto these. You don't use the HU cage. Click image to enlarge Ready to go! Click image to enlarge Remove support bracket. Click image to enlarge I then used a pillow to rest the HU on, this lets you mess about with all the wires, connect them up without making a mess of the paint or screen. Click image to enlarge Hit a small issue then, with this HU the bottom edge of the clock assembly hits the top of the HU and so the top dash section sits up. Solution is just to cut off the corner edge of the white part. Click image to enlarge And job done Click image to enlarge Very happy, worth the hassle and blood loss. Just need to tap into the reverse feed now for the camera. Earned a beer or 2. Thanks, yes I am really pleased. Always admire the trucks that have the double din but never had the nerve to do it. It's turned out really well with the switches moved to the cubby, that was the biggest gamble. Have a few bits nearly ready with FCX which will hopefully bring it along nicely. Andy

Time to wire up the spots....
Loom made up and fitted along the rack, I then used the front bracket as the point of entry. Can't been seen at all so very happy. Will connect up after the rugby.. does anyone know the easiest place to tap into the main beam??? So today I finished the wiring for the TS4000's on the rack, nothing too difficult, just tapped into the main beam in the engine bay and also got the cubby switch operating them as well... The light of these is unreal, can't describe how good and pictures will never show it... With another switch lit up now in the cubby and the double din the interior is a nice place to be at night.
