I would like both too mate!!!
I love the HT... think it looks better! But agreed, it does need the Alpine Windows at least! Must have been a tough shout though... I think the Heritage will always be a 'special' one... I have done the mental test... I am sitting in my Keswick Green HT on a hot summers day, (with the radio and a/c on!) and Heritage pulls up alongside me... How do I feel! (apart from cooler!) YOLO... Vintage, another "idea" for you.
What about silver Chequreplate along the sills & rear quarter, and ALSO, on top of the front mudguards, and then to finish off, paint the roof indus silver??!! Anyway, REALLY consider the chequreplate, whether you get silver or whatever, but the dealer P.D. guy I dealt with (Defender "Guru") recommended it,....said spanners etc & all sorts of stuff, during servicing etc, or even general use, gets left on top of the guards, which are soft & easily dented, so we fitted it, & love it! There are several pictures in our gallery, if ya've got the patience to go through 'em! Pickles. |

Wow, better find a dealer who's a bit more careful with your car then...
My cat has been serviced a couple of times already. No scratches or dents because of their tools. Anyways, if that happened I would have them fix it. |

I understand the Heritage thing and like the SW but not at a big premium, remember every defender is special DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS,
I hope everyone is well and your land rovers make you happy |

Pickles,
Looks great, Being able to 'personalise' the XS is another reason I have gone for it, I think if I made changes to the heritage it may have made it more difficult to re-sell when the time came whereas mods nicely done to a base or XS could make it more desirable. |

Hi All,
Long time lurker, I'll do a proper intro in the proper section. Just wondered if you all know that the July edition of Octane Magazine has a full feature on the defender new and old with external studio pictures of the Heritage HT from all angles and a very nice interior photo as well. Looks very good, I had one on order but now have a 110USW coming instead, don't think anyone who is getting one will be disappointing though, even without aircon. |

Ehhmonkey,
Well spotted, I have had Octane on my desk for a few days and had not even opened it! I will see if I can take some photo's of the mag with my phone and try and post the images up here. |

That looks great!
Any chance you can copy the pages and post them... the little bit of 'narrative' you can read is great too! It actually looks good without the Alpine Windows... perhaps it's the roof colour that suits... Great post, thanks! P.S Were there any photos of the SW? YOLO... You Only Live Once... |
