This picture is from the main dealers.
The mess up we had with Customer Relations has caused them to release the picture to clarify what we will get. The one thing I wanted was the alpine windows to make it look special. I feel this really is not a special edition at all and more like a bang it out edition. I'm not too chuffed but my dealer has told me I can have an Adventure 90,110 or Landmark instead if I should so desire. |

Thanks,
I'm not sure what to do now, I quite like the 110 double cab...... Interesting that there are still adventure's available in both 90 and 110 though, are you going to switch your order to either of them. |

Problem I have Paul is my 110 xs currently owes me 17k and is just over 2 years old.
The Adventure is 42k so if dealer gives me 22k trade in which means price to change of 20k My 110 has the roof rack and stuff fitted from new so can't see the value in changing. The 90 HT was going to be an extra special, run the cost through the company and get the VAT back but it doesn't look right to me without the windows. even my 90 HT county back in 2002 had the windows in the roof. I need to let them know tomorrow |

42K against 28K is a huge difference and I can see how the sums don't add up for you.
If you can get a look at a 90HT in base trim in the flesh before you cancel I would Steve. I was in the Land Rover dealer in Lewes a couple of weeks ago and they had a base 90HT in keswick with white HD wheels and it did look surprisingly good. I just showed the picture of the heritage 90HT to SWMBO and she prefers it without windows, so I've been told we have to have it! |

I'm not saying its not a great car just not for me. I only had one prevision with the dealer and that was the windows. suppose thats why they phoned oh well I have the night to think about it. |

Would it not be possible to retro-fit the windows? Would add a bit of cost, but perhaps not prohibitive.
Just a thought. Ray |

Hi Ray
My Thoughts are just I've now got 20k to do what I want with the 110 I have now to be honest. It would need to stay standard to resell if required. I'll talk it over with Ralph the dog tonight and see if he wouldn't mind sitting in the dark with no windows |

Thanks for sharing that hard won image Steve... But, that cannot be right from what we have been told today and up to now Steve... Neither the Base Hard Top nor the Heritage detail include the side steps or tow bar... I would suggest these have been either dealer add, or it's another JLR Customer Relations cock-up... Either way, it has just simply added to the confusion rather than clarified the position in my book... Rog... The GREEN One... For what it's worth I still think it looks great sans windows. Gives it a nice clean line. I do understand when you've got an idea in your head, it's hard to compromise!
