Hi pickles, it's going in for a lot of the new bits bolting on next week so while its in the garage they'll check it but I don't think it will have made much of a difference Thumbs Up

Thats great! Looks very cool. Yes, so much easier to get in and out of, you don't need a step ladder to check anything in the engine bay either!

Funny, in OZ, the most usual mod is a 2 inch LIFT!!! I think the thought of lowering one out here would send shock waves out!

Mmmm, might lower YOLO after my big trip then! Confused YOLO... You Only Live Once...

Ha ha, yeah most people around here either keep them standard or lift them but as mine spends most (if not all) of its life on the road and with 4 kids a dog and a short wife it makes more sense for me Thumbs Up there are a few (even some on here) people starting to lower them, with trusted names like alive supplying kits.

Ray Thumbs Up

Yes, companies like Urban Truck seem to offer a 2 inch lowering as part of most of their upgrades. I must say, it looks very cool and for road use would be a LOT easier! Nice one! Cool YOLO... You Only Live Once...

Is that all! Rolling with laughter

More suitcases filled with LR bits for me to take back to OZ soon!

Emirates offers a very good standard 30kg weight per suitcase as well! I get 40kg as a frequent flyer!!! Laughing

Come with what you are wearing - buy what you need to wear from primark and give it to a charity shop when you leave ? Then the whole 40kg can be car parts 😊

Took my radiator muff off today for the first time in about 3 years so had to paint the grill santorrini black to match the headlight surrounds I did a couple of years ago.

I havent put the stainless screws on from the nakatenenga kit yet as it's going in for the new pulleys, pumps, radiator, intercooler etc this Thursday so I'll start swapping the stainless bits on next week Mr. Green

A few more stainless bolts went on today and the newly painted vent flap with new stainless pins just need to do the other side in the next couple of days. Can't decide between Nas rear step or tinted front row windows from landyglass next, but not sure if the rear step fits with the older version of nakatanenga wheel carrier so might have to get the new one before the step Big Cry Ray

Slowly the tidy up continues. Removed and treated some rust bubbles on one capping yesterday and today and the paint just baking nicely in the sun at the moment. Forgot to take a photo before but you can just see it on the right hand capping in this old photo.

Sanded the rust back to good metal then hydrate 80 on the pitted bits and left overnight

Sanded back again and a bit of stopper

Sanded stopper back primed painted and lacquered and now baking in the sun

In a couple of days when it's fully hardened I'll flat it back a little and give it a buff but it's not too bad as is Mr. Green Ray
