just ordered the parts from rimmerbros.

Wow! Part # LR052893 is only 54 pence each (you need 2) from Dan at Duckworths (I guess VAT and Carriage adds up a bit). I bought an oil filter as well to get the most out of the carriage costs Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's)

I think that once you have a good dealer on your side then that is half the battle won, as far as warranty / service work is considered, I have always had excellent service from Duckworth at Boston, and cannot praise them enough |

Thanks for posting your 'how to' guide. Really clear pics and instructions. I'm well out of warranty and at $140 per hour for labour, I couldn't justify taking it in for this work. (Especially as I already dropped about $1400 this month replacing a broken front diff)
