As seen the largest problem area is as Ian says the first part of the intake from the wing to and including the "Post cyclone Dad exit".

We hope to have ready in the first half of this year a new injection molded replacement air intake that ocvers this part in a larger diamiter than as seen here to solve this problem. We may also have a full new air box injection molded cost depending that offers a direct replacement and still uses the factory filter.

This will be compatable with ABS and non ABS cars as well as cars with or without snorkles.

Yes that sort of pipe Borderterrier.

When I did the one I made as a prototype test wing backing it was from some alloy I had kicking arround to attach the pipe to. As Ian has pointed out, this is fine on non ABS cars but the ABS cars are a little tight for space. Its also very tight next to the alternator bolts on both abs and non abs cars.

Very next. Pete. I was thinking of using the heater intake on the top of the wing though.

Depending on the speed you are wanting to do something im already working on a solution that is an easer fit but it will be some time yet before ready.

The pipe I made above worked very good albiet a bit crude and for sure helped with breathing which lead me to the next project, Injection moulding a pipe from the wing to the air box for ease of fitment, and a new air box that has no restriction inside all as a bolt on fit.

These pictures show our unmodifyed drawings we had 3D lazer scanned which will aid us to adjust the restricted areas and have made less restrictive.

I think Nakatanaga do something like this as a kit, Ive not seen in in the flesh but have seen pictures. It uses both the side and top vents I beleive.

If you do make one your self to add extra air in combined with the side vent do be aware of the wing top getting water in it though, IRB do a snow vent that may help protect against this problem ??

Will this not do for the wing top air intake?

I suppose it would, but it's expensive. I am going to go for silicon hose 102mm dia and a home made link to the wing top bent. I shall add a snow cowl and bobs your uncle - maybe!

Wow! I really have no idea wherw people pluck their prices from! Ill be making my own version using all the same materials as Mr borderterrior. Unless I manage to hide in the metal bay at work enough I may be able to make up an nice top spec welded metal intake Thumbs Up
