The 110 got a full service on saturday - fluids/filters/brake discs & pads/wheel bearings/bushes - so she's all ready for another month of hard work Cool

Must get round to fitting the anti-roll bars soon, should make a difference with the rooftent on Rolling Eyes

Took her for a quick (3hrs each way) spin up to the spring adventure at Harrogate on sunday, came back with a load of YRM panels for welding up another rusty (Camel) disco and, although I really didn't mean to, a new pair of seats Confused so the Sheelmann's will be up for sale very soon!

Recaro's Embarassed

With the deal I was offered, I couldn't really say no....

Fitted them last night along with a pair of Sense of Adventure seat rails. Did 170 miles up to Nottingham this morning and the difference in the comfort and driving position is nothing short of superb.

I saw the seats at around £820 each on the Duckworth stand (for cloth..?). Did you do better than that..?

Cheers

Yeh did better than that - a combination of wanting a pair, it being 16:30 on the sunday and the guys not really wanting to pack everything back into the van Thumbs Up

I like the cloth finish, they'll spend most of their life under seat covers anyway, and even with the plug and play seat heaters I find leather quite cold (or conversely very warm)...

Managed 33mpg in the TD5. The needle was just past half way and filled up with 30.01L of Shells finest standard diesel and did 220miles and now the needle is just about at the same point as it was before.
30.01 L @ 220 miles - 33.32692199 MPG or 0.18p/m.

That was a straight run on Motorway/A483/A490 and towing a Harvey Frost Crane and the back containing, toolkit Fire extinguishers, recovery gear.

Not bad me thinks. 1999 Defender TD5 110

Unfortunately I don't think a Defender fuel gauge can be relied on to that extent. Mine can move a good 1/16 of it's travel just of its own accord! It will be in the right ballpark, but tankful to tankful is the only way you can really get an accurate calculation. It might be nicer to just stick with the 33mpg though! You're unlikely to better it! Thumbs Up 2005 Td5 | 90 Station Wagon | Tonga Green
