Bringing up old thread............what did you use to spray on the ACF50???
It's a bit thick and using spray bottle it doesn't mist well. Any real world experience??? |

Hi Zag,
Please can you provide a little clarification regarding spraying things like door and bonnet hinges etc. I presume you leave everthing in place and tight, just spray the ACF 50 at them so it goes in any tiny little gaps. And then I presume you just wipe off any surplus? No harmful effects on the paint? Thanks, John. 2.2 90 XS 88" Series One Old Norton

Not sure how much Zag's about at the moment but I can confirm you just spray it into the hinges and it works its own way in. Just wipe off the excess (you may have to do this a couple of times as it "crawls"). It doesn't harm paint in any way - I actually use it to polish the rear wings after doing the cappings
It does, however, mildly attack rubber so don't go too wild Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |

 I don't come on here much  (although going down to Chichester Harbour today for a sail with the family which is part of a shake down run for a 2 week sail along the South Coast next week - YIKES praying for fair weather

I know you can't spray your belts but what about bushings considering they are also made of rubber it is a belt slipping thing rather than a getting hard and cracking thing.
What about the engine / gearbox casing. Are they suseptable to corrosion. The one on my focus looks like new after 10 years so is it worth spraying or not? |

If you wipe your windscreen rubber with ACF the cloth will go black - I would keep it away as much as possible... Tell someone you love them today because life is short.

Does anyone know if Zagato is still working his magic with corrosion prevention?
I am expecting my new 110XS in September. I have sent Zagato a PM but don't know if he is ever on this forum any more. If forum members have another contact for him perhaps they could let him know he has a PM on my behalf?
