Yes, at £30+ it's more expensive than an OEM part, but not that much more than some other stainless rear trim I've seen.

Just read the entire thread, wow, that really looks fabulous! Have you totted up how much you spent on it??
I love to have a project like this on the go, problem is you get hooked and in my case finish the job then sell it and start over! Andy |

Hi RRUK
Great build and write up Having done all the hard work I would say take a break and enjoy it! Question: did I see a picture of your amp behind the passenger seat? The reason I ask is that it looked as if your ECU was on the bulk head. Do you have any better pictures of this. Many thanks Mark |

I only seem to have one photo, which I think is the same one as before. If you need more detail I can take more photos over the weekend

Hi
Yes would be grateful if you are able to to take a couple of pictures of the ECU and the area where the wiring enters the cab. Thanks in advance Mark |

Mark,
have taken some more photos for you, not much to see really. From drivers side: Click image to enlarge From Above: Click image to enlarge From passenger side: Click image to enlarge Did a few little things today, put some more carpet at the back of the drivers seat to cover the lower half of the bulkhead. Actually, that was it! 2016 D4 HSE 1998 110 TUM HS FFR Hard Top XD WOLF 1982 Series 3 SWB Petrol |

Great write up. I'm doing a similar thing to my 90. I've got the sound proofing down and I'm about to start on the carpet. I have a couple of questions:
Have you got any pictures of how far up the sides you went with the carpet? Did you do it in 1-2 big pieces or are the wheelarches etc seperate to the floor. Any other tips? Thanks Steve PS: stop doing stuff, its encouraging me to spend money |

For the bulkhead up and over I simply wrapped it and glued it. This carpet material had a clear wrapper type material on the back as it was supposed to be heated up with a heat gun. I didn't know this and thought how incredibly stiff and unworkable it was, so I peeled this layer off, leaving just the carpet and making it more malleable.
Then it was easier to wrap it over the top and glue it under the lip. With regards to the sides, the carpet ONLY covers from the top of the wheel box to underneath the MUD side panels. The floor and wheel boxes only have the thick sound proofing and then the rubber matting. Carpet on the floor wouldn't work for me as I intend to put wet dog etc in the back. 2016 D4 HSE 1998 110 TUM HS FFR Hard Top XD WOLF 1982 Series 3 SWB Petrol |

To re-site the ECU, is it a simple task to unplug the cables, pull them through the holes in the seat box (are they big enough..?) and bolt the ECU etc to the bulkhead..?
I'm alway worried about getting water (from wading) in the seat box and ECU area. Cheers Simon |

Simon, I have no idea as it was not me that did this, I bought it like that.
Maybe someone with more expertise than me will be along shortly, there may even be a thread about it already if you search? 2016 D4 HSE 1998 110 TUM HS FFR Hard Top XD WOLF 1982 Series 3 SWB Petrol |
