The are part of the rainbow components (link in my first post in the thread) I just cut into the plastic with a stanley knife and then shaped it with a dremel. I then ring drilled the metal underneath and stuck the cups in with uhu glue.

Appleby -
Go a few issues myself that I'm interested to know peoples opinion on. 1) On the Puma for anyone who has an external amp how / in what way have you connected your direct battery power feed. I am hoping to use some kind of ring terminal on the battery positive as this is the same way my spots are wired. Interested to know what you have? 2) I have an Amp that is 500w RMS and 900w peak. I'll need 4 gauge power and earth but what AWG speaker wire will I need for that? Amp: 500w RMS 900w Peak 2Ohm load. 1x Sub 450RMS 900w Peak. Wired at 2Ohm. I am just confused which AWG size to get. I'd imagine 10 or 12 but opinions would be appreciated if possible? Steve âï¸âï¸God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 âï¸âï¸ |

I've run my 550wrms sub on 12awg wire for the last 5 years in my fiesta and it has been fine. For the power wire just get a ring terminal of whatever size wiring your using and bolt it onto the clamp.
Unless you want to go all out and install one of these http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/phonocar-4...minal.html |

Does anyone know if there is a headunit that is big enough to replace the whole headunit panel on a td5 defender? I just want to get rid of the extra clipped in panel. Did Landrover have some sort of upgrade for the larger hole in the dash? Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated |

I paid about £140 for my set. Personally I think they are fantastic speakers (only lacking a little in low end due to size, not a problem if you have a sub). I bought these as I have a set of the 165mm ones in my other car and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone. If I had to buy any speakers again these would be my top first choice.

As above I agree you won't get good lows what ever you try with small size speakers but sub sorts that out but the quality is important Plus with an upgraded head unit I doubt the standard LR speakers will take too much punishment compared with th rubber cone design in most aftermarket speakers. âï¸âï¸God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 âï¸âï¸
