Hit download on the far right once the page loads. See if you can find the problem and solution in there Will Defender 90 XS TD5 (03 Reg) |

I had water dripping on my accelerator pedal too. Turns out land Rover put a few too many holes in the footwell and just covered them with tape. My tape came off and i got a leak when the water finds its way inside the bonnet and down the bulk head. Sometimes when it rained it got wet but every time i washed it with the hosepipe it managed to find its way in. I fixed it with a self adhesive puncture repair patch about 5 years ago and its still there.
Its worth looking for uncovered holes in the footwells on both sides while your at it. If you dont have air con there will be a rather large one in the passenger side!! Pete. |

Another couple of avenues you could go down....Did the search bit for you by entering 'carpets!'...Solution undoubtedly contained therein....Loads of wet ones, mine included, but no more!

Try having a careful look at the black sponge foam stuff that seals between the bulkhead and the windscreen. ON my car it had perished and was allowing water to leak into the footwells. I dug it out and repalced with sealant. All dry now

I thought this was a specific landrover design - wet footwells
I think every landrover I have had has had a leak somewhere, this one only has one on passenger floor so I thought I was doing pretty well. Impressed that many of you are leak free. I obviously need to try & find the holes ![]() |

water also tracks in via the rear washer pipes which come through the bulk head access by removing the n/s speaker and sorted with dum dum.
As mentioned before via the heater with water blocked in the heater box(blocked teet). 2.4 90 XS 1968 1/32 scale Britains 109 Pick up. |

My 2011 one wets the wife's feet above 60mph in the wet. Both found it funny that 28k buys you a damp car! 1951 80" S1 2.0

There's such a sense of accomplishment when one stops a leak - "man make fire, man stay dry"
![]() But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |
