It's just been collected by the dealer for an engine warning light and limp mode problem. If you have to use hard/higher than usual revs when cold [eg, right turn onto fast road] then sometimes it will seem to rev like mad for a few seconds and then go into limp mode. From my very cheap ODBII 'checker' it looks like a fuel pressure rail issue as the code reported was P1169. No idea exactly what or why but that's why we have friendly dealers.

Also i found a water leak this morning in the passenger footwell and water streaks all down the door side of the dashboard.

PS - the dealer has just called me while typing this with a progress update and to give me the name of the service person who will be looking after the Puma for me. It almost sounded like I have a sick relative in hospital..... Shocked BM52

53 by Defender 90, on Flickr Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming...

'Wow...! What a ride!

Keeps the flies off apparently ngarigo Wink

Been out last two days in these heavy downpours were having - good test for any leaks. I wouldn't say it would float if you threw it in the sea but all was dry inside which was a nice surprise...

Friday was a afternoon out (even though not in the Defender).... so if ok with you guys:

What did you do in your girlfriends Feroza today

Friday was the usual day in work... in at 0630 and a trip to do some PAT testing at the other end of the island- how boring.

But come 1330 and work finished for the weekend we decided to head out to the Sub-Aqua club. The sun was out so we decided to take swimming kit and mask/snorkel.

I gave the gf a guided tour of the club reserve:

Helicopter (Prize if someone can name the type).

The GF trying to touch it- not much luck as it is 7m under, lol.

Followed by a little off-road.... where we came accross this whilst crossing over a few tracks:

Blunt nose viper...... a bit eaten!!! It is breeding season so there are quite a few about and they aren't very tolerant. The Station Warrant Officer has lost one of his dogs to one- all his fault though- who lets their dog free to snoop around in bushes on the bondu during snake breeding season Rolling Eyes

Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter So true. Even though I am a die-hard green oval fan I am very surprised at the little 4x4. Considering it doesn't have any diff locks it goes many places the Defender will- it just doesn't have the same feel though.

20 years old, 240,000 miles on the clock and it still pulls like a trooper with no problems in the last 6 months.

When I used to help marshal the Pay and Play days at the local quarry one turned up that was going to the scrapyard the next week, so it was basically brought up to be killed.

It endured six hours of constant abuse, and it was still alive by the end of the day.

Shocked Is that (was) a Rocky? If so, very capable 4x4. Bit unstable though. Puma 110" SW
