Loss of power
Shocked driving at 70mph on motorway everything was sound went to give it a bit more to overtake and there was nothing left in it....
dropped it into 5th and feathering the pedal and it just would not pic up but it never lost any speed as well ?
it felt like the turbo was not kicking in got of the motorway turned it of got me curry Mr. Green jumped back in and its fine...no light on dash to say anything is wrong .....it was raining very hard and freezing cold...could this have something to do with it ? NEVER TAKE LIFE SERIOUSLY. Karlos,

take out the MAP sensor and give it a clean, also check the turbo actuator arm moves freely. Try these first and let us know the outcome Thumbs Up

My Puma had a similar problem this morning.
Freezing rain on the M54, pushed the go button at about 70 and it was very sluggish.
I phoned JE and they suggest checking the MAF.
I think it could also be dodgy Morrison's diesel that was used on the last fill up or a frozen fuel line.
Will go to Shell tomorrow.
Seems okay now. Thumbs Up Paul

Ironically, mine lost power last night.....turned out that the intercooler hose had popped off....more substantial jubilee clips have replaced the flimsy item!

The annoying thing is fekete, you'll not know what caused it, unless it happens again! ''friggin Defenders'' indeed Mr. Green

is it possible that the intercooler was blocked by freezing rain ? - just a thought

How much fuel did you have when starting the trip? Mine 08 will have similar problems on a longer trip (+25-30min) in cold weather (below zero) and with a full tank of fuel. Problem is gone after a quick roadside stop shutting the engine off for a couple of seconds. Never happens if the tank is less than 1/2 full, if the trip is short or if the weather is warm (above zero). I start to suspect the cold causes problem with the fuel feed somehow?

What about the wiring to the turbo? among a lot of other things it was one thing that caused me some problems.

May be also P1169 fault (you can check it with e.g. Scangauge). Power resumes after a while but to fix it permanently you need QO68 ECU update. Janusz
