I'm nearly there now Very Happy

It all started a week or two after i had gone and picked up those landy parts on the trailer, my engine started to produce a small knocking noise Rolling Eyes I went and saw my indy about it and he wasn't sure if it was the small or big ends knocking Neutral
My choice was to leave the engine in Millie and or change it again, i worked out this engine had done around the 100,000 miles with me, but it did have around 165,000 verified miles already on it Very Happy
Near the end of 2023 i bought a spare engine local-ish to me, a chance that i could not refuse due to the engine being already internally " new " the indy was using it to charge battery's but as he was not using it enough, so he put it up for sale.
The time had come to put it in Millie, so i took the engine over to my indy from where it was stored and he would get it ready for the install into Millie. I dropped off Millie to my indy and a couple days later she was ready to pick up Very Happy This was going to be quick change over as i always need Millie for work, so the turner performance head will be put on sometime this year replacing the standard head Very Happy
I went to pick her up and my indy said that there is an issue with the " engine " so run it for a few days to see how it goes as were not sure when it was last run ( iv'e had it nearly a year without it running ) so after a small time i still had the issue which was, when she started first thing in the morning she sounded like one of those diesel loco's doing a cold start Rolling Eyes we checked the glow plugs and they were spot on Very Happy then we checked the injectors, they were all ok Very Happy
This left the injection pump Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes after i had the injection pump installed after it had been " reconditioned " ( about a year later it started to leak diesel from the front of the injection pump coming out of the wading plug hole, so the place i got the injection pump form had Millie for a day to sort the problem out which they did, under warranty. ) When my indy went to change the injection pump from one engine to the other he had a Shocked Rolling Eyes moment as who ever did the injection pump warranty work rounded the bolt head off Evil or Very Mad so my indy had to hit a socket on the bolt head hard enough to get the bolt out, which he did but by doing that it damaged the injection pump so hence the starting problem.
I have just had another " reconditioned " pump installed by my indy and were back to where we should of been a long time ago, Millie is flying along now, pulling well too. My indy did a compression test on the engine and all the psi's are over 350 per piston, that's over a 100 psi per piston more than the engine that was took out.
I'm super happy now Mr. Green

Iv'e just got to sort out finding some rims for her now Whistle Clayton.

Sounds good, itโ€™s always annoying when one issue can cause another like with the bolt and fuel pump.
Sometimes one thing, leads to another, but just the way it goes sometimes.

Main thing is everything can be fixed in the end. Thumbs Up

Do you have a standard turbo? KEEP CALM AND Drill ON
