Further update on my issue . To date the dealer has replaced Intercooler , MAF , MAP, all boost charge pipes , turbo , turbo actuator , EGR cleaned and new seals , three pressure tests all ok and still has an issue with it going in to limp mode . We thought it was the MAF sensor as when this was removed it ran on a number of test drives without going in to limp mode hence it being replaced. New one fitted and still issues . The dealer is now thinking ( as others have suggested ) electrical . Will be great to get it back - I’ve only had the vehicle 7 days since I bought it in May .

Once it’s sorted, at least you’ve had a heap of parts changed, for free. 2008 2.4 110 Utility Station Wagon XS.

That sounds like the dealer who dignosed my vehicle's failure to fire up, as a faulty starter motor and replaced it. No difference, it was the battery! But at least mine put the old starter motor back and didn't charge me...

If it worked ok with the MAF removed, then it may be worth a look at the wiring to that sensor. Where it enters the plug it can suffer from stress damage:

I noticed that problem on my old 110 and repaired it with a pre-wired plug from the site shop, which you can read all about here:

As LandRoverAnorak has stated, and I’ve also mentioned before. We had a customer, that had the same persistent problem. I noticed that the wiring can actually touch the back of the Puma bonnet, which also probably causes the insulation of the wiring to break. A new pre-wired plug, and a cable tie, to pull it down away from the bonnet, and he had no more problems 👍
