have you modified the ccf file? as already written, if you install a brand new 11.4 screen, it will not work, because it must be programmed. the 10 screen, when you go back to the original ccf it must work for sure, otherwise there is a problem with the connector or the fuses, I advise you to take a tester and test the presence of power and ground on the connector. When carrying out work on the electrical system, always disconnect the car battery.

Can you post a photo of the cable you have made? |

hi, now I've closed everything, and I don't have any photos. However, I followed the published wiring diagram and used the connectors recommended by Clark. If you want, send me a photo of your cables and I'll check if they're ok.

I was asking deekay for a photo of his cable so we could maybe check it for him.
The only issue I had with my custom cable is I had to swap the CAN bus wires even though I checked they were correct so many times! |

I was able to get the 10.1" screen working again last night after doing a service reset with the GAP tool, double locking, and waiting a bit before retrying (possibly the most important step).
Now this morning, I wired up the 11.4" screen again, repeated the steps above, and still a blank screen so far. This is what the wiring looks like. Perhaps I have something mixed up? ![]() Click image to enlarge [/img] |

It looks correct, have you tried swapping the can wires? (pins 3 and 9) of the grey connector

I'll give it a shot right now.

The can wires are reversed the gray green goes on the connector at pin 3. |

Ok I swapped the pins for the two CAN wires (at the small black connector, not the grey connector; that should be the same, right?). I started the car, did a Pivi reset, did a service reset, and then double locked the car. I'll check it in an hour or so to see if that did the trick.
One thing I noticed before stepping out of the car was that "circuit open" fault was recorded. Not sure if this is just a transient fault that can be ignored, or if it means the harness and/or display are broken? ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge |

hi Deekay, sorry, I was in the car and I misread the connector, everything was correct, I was wrong, so the layout of the can pins was right, now it's wrong. open circuit means that 12 volt power is not arriving, so two possibilities: 1 the 12 volt pin does not fit well in the connector, 2 a fuse has blown. test with a tester if you have power and ground.

No worries. I just swapped the pins back and I'll see if the open circuit fault comes back. Fuses looked fine.
