Hi, do you by any chance have the part number for the brackets and plastic trims?

I managed to get the screen itself but without any brackets. And apparently, there are quite a few pieces required for installation.

I did some research in the past few weeks to figure out how to order parts for retrofitting either the 11.4” or 13.1” screen. Based on reviewing the Summer Automotive videos in which a non-OEM bracket is demonstrated, I reached out to Summer Auto to inquire if I could purchase their retrofit kit without the screen. I had also noticed a similar kit with screen available on Ali Express via Zhous Automotive. After some email back and forth, it became evident that they are the same company.

The good news is that Zhous offered a SKU of parts required including a wiring harness adapter without the screen. I suggest you contact Jeffery, Sales Manager, at sales@zhous.co.uk to get a quote. I have not yet ordered the kit without the screen, but am seriously considering it.

I am super impressed that Summer Auto/Zhous offered a new SKU without the screens based on my inquiry. Talk about flexibility and responsiveness!

The kit appears to be the same for both 11.4” and 13.1”, but one of the brackets might need a slight modification to fit the 13.1” screen. This is mentioned in one of the Summer Auto videos on YouTube.

It’s not yet clear to me if the non-OEM bracket is shaped so that we wouldn’t need to modify the long horizontal dash trim pieces against which the screen rests.

This is the SKU and details Jeffery shared with me:

Product : 13.1 INCH MASSIVE SCREEN RANGE ROVER DESIGN FOR DEFENDER ( EXCEPT FOR THE SCREEN )
Qty: 1 Set
Product No.: Zhous-41
Price: EXW US$420
Express Cost: US$159.4
Total: US$579.4

For me the key question is why? You gain so little and aesthetically I think its a step backwards. Eiger Grey MY23 D250 SE with bits. Known as Noddy.

Just because you don't see any value in it that doesn't mean it's wrong, if people want to modify their cars I say go for it while we still can. Cheers Ian

Thank you @Clark4x4 for sharing the link it's very helpful.

Thank you @ckamps for the details regarding the trim/bracket kit. I think if this non-OEM version will allow it to fit the upper long dash trim without the need for modification then it definitely worth it, otherwise, you can get all OEM brackets and trim from the website recommended by @Clark4x4 for more or less the same price (however it won’t include the cable adapter).

I'm going to contact Jeffery to see if they can sell the cable adapter on its own.

I always modified my vehicles mostly as a DIY project, even if this mod doesn't dramatically change the vehicle performance/usability I still enjoy the process.

P.S. The larger screen will allow activation of MY24.5 display interface which I believe won’t be possible on the small screen.

@G4R1 I listed out the part numbers and costs based on @Clark4x4 link to the parts web site.

Looks like ordering parts on our own would cost maybe ~$275 plus shipping. That’s not including the custom cable adapter.

Of course, with the Summer Auto/Zhous SKU, one would also get the cable adapter and the non-OEM Summer Auto/Zhouse screen bracket might avoid needing to either modify or replace the long horizontal dashboard trim pieces. (I’ve sent a query to Summer Auto/Zhous about that aspect).

Update: I bought all of the plastic trim pieces, but didn’t realize until later that the screws that attach the plastic bracket to the 11.4” screen are of larger diameter than the screws used for the 10” screen. Fortunately, I had 4 M6 x 12mm screws that I was able to use to attach the new bracket to the 11.4” screen.

Parts list
Here’s my initial list with a cross reference to the numbers on the parts diagram:
