Thanks for posting the pics Mata, those are the ones I looked at a few months ago and it’s really useful having them posted here
![]() Three issues seem to plague the original valve. 1. It can start to leak at the main body seam. 2. In some instances the Bowden cable does not fully push the valve leaver back, allowing hot coolant to continue to flow to the heater matrix even when set to fully cold by the heater control knob. 3. In some instances even with the valve leaver fully pushed back and the heater control knob on fully cold the valve internals still let hot coolant flow to the heater matrix. I Agee with Zed, it does look a thing of beauty, as does everything I’ve seen from Design and development engineering, and IRB’s bespoke components such as their output shaft. ( I’m likely to purchase and fit an IRB output shaft soon) Hence I’m keen on IRB ( ian, Porny on here) providing as much insight as he feels appropriate on how the 3 points I highlighted above ( perhaps more I’m unaware of ) are addressed by his collaboration with D&DE on this solution. |

Ian of IRB developments ( member porny on here) has them for sale on his integrated 316 site. See https://www.integrated316.com/store/p/land...trol-valve
£306 inc vat plus £6 postage... I wonder if a big group buy could facilitate a decent discount. |

They are tantalising close to be being finished. There has been a few delays in production, but virtually all parts are back from anodising now ready for assembly. I ordered a stock valve from Britpart and it was junk. So I researched other cars that used the same valve and ordered a factory replacement that way. Can’t remember if it was from Fiat or Citroen. Much cheaper than LR, no metal bracket, and it works great. YMMV
