Paul, I completely get where you are with the build costs, I have a restomod VW T2 going to paint in the new year and I’m up to £100k on that once the paint has been completed and I’m looking at another £10k to complete the interior, these things are expensive if you go full custom.
I am very interested in the Tractive suspension as I am going with the same air system as my T2, Air-Lift 3P, and was going to use the Fox 2.0 as well, but I do like the idea of the Tracitve setup, did you go for the standard height version and what’s the expected lift and drop on your air ride going to be? Lovely car btw 😁 |

Just been to see the project at the body shop and the good news is that I'll be driving it back tomorrow.
In the mean time here are some pics. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge The side rivets are just decorative as we have bonded the capping on the inside so that the rivets don't deflect the side of the tub and make it all crinkly |

Thanks all for your kind comments..
Andy - Well spotted thanks, I really should pay more attention, no one likes missing a hole James - The body shop is only about 1/4 mile away but was hairy to say the least, I did however notice there are lots of things not working yet, maybe not as far on as I think... Linds - Me and Stanley are old mates |

Been a little bit of progress the past week.
Finished the rear lights, surprisingly some holes suddenly appeared Click image to enlarge Fitted a few of the YRM parts SS Parts and seal Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge I've fitted the tractive system and decided to put the small panel into the centre consol Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Unfortunately it's not all good news, when powered up the Tractive system makes a high pitch whine (which would drive me insane), Tractive think it could be because the wiring is near other power cables, I hope not as it's impossible to run any cables on this build that can be more than 3/4 inches away from the various systems power cables. Tractive have told me they have never seen this before on a Defender, so hopefully it's just initial gremlins as I like the idea of the adaptive suspension, I'll keep you informed on progress. Apart from figuring what up with the Tractive system, I'll be fitting the fuel filler hose and cap, fitting the chassis rear seat belt mounts and removing the NAS step to fit an ORE wheel carrier over the weekend. |

you have the top of that screw driver chewed to bits
All looking good, Did you not consider the genuine Perei rear lights like they used on the Fire and Ice? The tinted likely suit the build better though Click image to enlarge Andy 2014 Fuji 110 SW LS3 https://www.defender2.net/forum/post751233.html#751233 2014 Corris 110 SW http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic40056.html My old Xtech 90 build.. http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic15681.html LS3 V8 build... http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic49051.html |

Thanks Andy, didn't even know they were a thing, I'll investigate. Once again thanks for your suggestion.
