The Modeo knob seems to be threaded. Don't know what one will have to use to prep the exposed shaft for it.

I'm wondering if this would be a compatible replacement.

Main issue is that the knob and the stick are one complete piece made with a metal rod covered in plastic.

To replace only the knob, you need to "destroy" the knackered knob and peel the plastic cover to expose the metal rod (handsaw and Dremel can be used).

The rod (diam 18 mm +/-) doesn't have any thread, so if you like to use threaded knobs for it you must be sure that the diameter of the knob thread is less than 18 mm and then make the male thread in the stick rod accordingly and that can take some time if you don't have fast access to a lathe.

So, the best cost/time solution (at least for me) was to produce a 3D printing knob and using a screw to fix it to the rod.

When I did mine I found that the steel armature was 12mm OD, and was the perfect size to receive an M12 thread. It was nowhere near 18mm.

I used Quicksteel to reshape the gear lever where the plastic had peeled off and then used the silicone 6 speed slip on.
It fits well and feels lovely
