There are only 2 faults on a Td5 that will put the MIL on. Throttle pedal (or its associated wiring) or Crank position sensor (or its wiring). If the throttle pedal didn't sort it then it could be a crank sensor fault, likely loom related as they're know to degrade with time 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon 1990 Vogue SE Triumph Tiger Explorer 1200 Td5 90 Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic50767.html Tdi 110 Thread https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic69562.html RRC Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic54492.html Instagram http://www.instagram.com/george_grafton |

Only thing is, it wont pick up after 30 mph, gets very flat, and starts running very rough. Crank sensors i have seen fail on my dads jeep, those just cut out the car. But i wont rule it out if those can cause trouble. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back Success is 90% Inspiration and 4 minutes Preparation # you can make it! |

Have you checked the fuel pressure regulator on the side of the block and the PCV valve next to the turbo? changing both made a massive difference to the flat spots on my TD5 |

Have a look at Charlesworth Mouldings, they produce wheel nut covers 😉
