Surely there is no contest here.

Hunter Sovereign's for me, a proper boot you can re-sole and keep forever and more importantly a British company again, very much in the Land Rover tradition. Well except for the British bit.

I thought everyone knew Le Chameau's are just a Chinese manufactured outdoor fashion boot for wannabe's?

Plus they are only £215 new from my local gunshop! Twice what they ought to be, in my opinion.

Laughing will anyone bite?

Back to the subject of wellies, how much for just the left one? I'm looking for a Christmas "stocking filler" for Heather Mills-McCartney.

Back on topic - I have a pair of these wellies, very nice they are too.

I am always aware that one man's £300 might seem to be another man's £3,000 and another mans £3. £300 is irrelevant if you like quality and have the money to buy them, £300 is a joke if you don't.

I do most of my walking in a pair of Lowa Mountain boots which are like slippers and so far have lasted 8 years, they look like they will last another 10. My Le Chameau's will probably do that same.

Good luck with the sale. Nick

But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing...

I've got to admit that I too have a pair, but at the poor end of the price scale, mine are only lined in Chav style linin check. But I have to admit that they have outlasted any Hunters I've previously owned and are now 4 years old and still going strong with constant abuse.

Shocked
I would never pay a bean for wellies, my Dad used to make me wear them at Moto-X events back in the day (was called scrambling then!) so I grew to hate them !

Good luck with the sale...can't believe how much banter it's caused Mr. Green

I have a pair of neoprene lined hunters.

They are very warm, they fit MY feet peferctly.

I like the way that if your "A long established member" that means you dont have to follow the same rules as everyone else.

If your going to get annoyed with people offereing you a price, then just post how much you want for them.

Me too, had them for about 5 years now and they are good as new and very comfortable to wear all day on a rough shoot.
