Sounds like mine and that’s good.
One of the things I notice now I’ve driven it a few months and few thousand miles is less slip than the Genuine version I think it handles the torque better and Pumas have quite high torque. I’m hoping the springs will last better than LR too, on the last LR clutch I had a sling came out causing almost total failure, and the one before that was the earlier 2.4 slave that failed but was told the springs were very very loose. On none of them, did they have the friction plate worn heavily but instead other failiures. ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️ |

It can be, but the most common culprit is the centre of the clutch being slightly loose, and clattering at idle when everything is hot. Usually the springs being loose. The different rattles can of course encourage each other - i.e. a bit of play in a less than perfect clutch centre might set up oscillations in the gearbox as well. --- 2006 Defender 110 SW 300Tdi • 2011 Ford Ranger XLT crewcab • 2015 Defender 110 Station Wagon Utility TDCi |

The time will son come to do the clutch again on my 2.4, when I did it originally I swapped to the later 2.2 release bearing.
I going down the Transit clutch route, as the OEM, Borg & Beck x2, were poor, Clutch Fix has been OK but is now jerky and rattly. I will fit a new release bearing/cylinder but is there a need to change the adapter & valve as well? Cheers Keith |

Not sure about the this but I did notice when I replaced my clutch with a kit from lof that it came complete with the fittings that attach the slave to the bleed and then the little valve/adapter to connect to the hose fitting.. whilst the adapter may not have needed changing the internal bell housing fitting was a different .ie length to the connector.. I'm not sure if the slave release bearings come with their own connecting pipe..but the old and new on mine were not interchangeable, from memory anyway..

If you fit a later 2.2 slave on a 2.4, then you’ll need the later 2.2 valve and adaptor too.
That’s what I did, if you do have a 2.2 I would still go for new parts, these parts are not a job you want to go back over to do for obvious reasons. ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️ |

I think the LOF clutch bundle is a perfect kit for everything you need. 2008 2.4 110 Utility Station Wagon XS.
