That's a bit of a blow, Sulisuli
I thought that was their speciality? I am insured with A-Plan, but with a local branch rather than the site sponsor. Adrian Flux is the only other big name that springs to mind. I have heard so many stories over the last few years of who is good and who isn't. I have no experience with them. Does your policy at present have a fixed insurance value with them? As everything is done by computer algorithms these days, I don't suppose it takes a lot for an insurer to throw their teddy out of the pram? |

Can I ask what your fixed value was with them (PM if you want) as I have a similar policy so may have to look elsewhere too Cheers Ian

My TD5 is insured with Churchill as a stand alone vehicle with only no claims bonus earned on my everyday car (L322 Range Rover) taken into account. I think that the full comp policy is around the £300 per year mark.

Ooh, thanks for the heads up!
Mine is due to renew in September and it too is a fixed value. 50k for the 2015 110 xs I’ll check out Adrian Flux “a committee is a group of people who individually can do nothing, but as a group decide nothing can be done.” |

Lancaster are excellent for modified defenders.
There was a comparison of lots of insurance companies in LRM a year or two ago and Lancaster had the best price and were said to be very accommodating when it came to modifications. I called them and got a much better price than the insurer I was already with. My truck is a poptop with lots of other mods.. Thank you for the feedback - unfortunately due to the high thefts of these vehicles a lot of our insurers have forced capacity issues, resulting in us having significantly reduced options for high value Range Rovers and in general, JLR newer models.
This doesn't effect policies during their policy term and they will continue as normal until renewal. At renewal, we will review every individual policy to see if it matches updated criteria across our panel and offer insurance where possible, and advise if we are unable to invite renewal. We will continue to assist as many clients as possible however we have already informed the forum admin of the above in addition to requesting our withdrawal from the sites. It has been an absolute pleasure to support the forums over the many, many years that we have... it appears all good things do indeed come to an end, and I will miss you all after 7.5 years of myself personally being on hand and behind the screen getting involved in the community chats, Carlie Howden Insurance - Specialist Vehicle Call us on 01635 874646 for a quotation |

Doesn’t this fly in the face that new Defenders aren’t being stolen, and that LR models that suffer keyless entry thefts are pre 2022 models.
Or is this just a blanket that covers the brokers three year profit / loss agreement contract with the Insurance companies………. |

Is it a case of putting profit before customers
It is hard to believe that the tens of thousands of Land Rover owners that pay high premiums and the small percentage of thefts of that number should cause this. For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at.. http://www.youtube.com/user/conwy1 |

The reality is that LRs get nicked more than any other car.
