I got a competitive renewal last July (well competitive compared to what others were telling me on here). I had given up hope of Howden's covering my truck. The price went up about £150 but I thought that was ok compared to some peoples premiums.
So this was through their Ipswich branch and not the branch that used to be the site sponsor on here. I'm not sure how independent each branch is or whether it is one big company with the same offers wherever you go? Saying that, their renewal price for our home insurance was twice as much as the cover I finally got. The really bizarre thing is, it was with the same insurer and was actually a better deal with better cover. I really don't know why insurance companies play this annual game with us. It's a waste of our time, it must cost them a fortune trying to get new business to throw the business away when the next renewal is due. Why they can't offer a reasonable product at a reasonable price and save this annual di*k dance I really don't know. |

A-Plan were ok wit me again this at this year's renewal, just a small increase. After all the doom and gloom I was expecting the worst. What happens next year is anyone's guess though as I've had a massive claim 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS
