I just joined your group and wish to participate in this discussion. Don't have a Defender yet but it's coming. However, we own also a MY23 Discovery D300, so I started fiddling a bit around with Gap IID which works splendidly. I did the Wifi and the key away locking feature. Works nice (-:

Today I tried to unlock the speed limiter from factory setting 209km/h to the new value of 225km/h, it works but it gives me an error that collision warning is not working and the cruise control is without function, anyone has an idea how to mitigate this problem?

Many wishes

roccobarocco

TIA

Couple of questions from someone who has just got the GAP tool.

2/ Can l stop the headlights from coming on every time l drive under a tree on a dull day? l can disable it with the headlights switch but then it starts doing it again.

Anybody?

A quick search of the ccf file brings up

MultiCAN-784 Front Fog Funtionality
Front Fog/SBL/CL

Maybe try changing the setting but it may need some trial and error.

As for your headlamps can't you just switch auto headlamps off? Confused Cheers Ian

You can turn them off, but they seem to turn themselves back on again. The only way to stop them turning on and off seems to be, to have them permanently on all the time.

l had one guy in front of me get out of his car asking me why l was flashing my headlights at him. We were in fairly slow moving traffic on a tree lined road.

Rolling with laughter
That just made me spew my beer. That's just really funny to imagine. "Why are you flashing me?"

Can you stop the mirrors from auto-folding with the GAP tool so they only work manually with the buttons next to the electric window switches?

When we are towing the caravan l can't lock the vehicle as the towing mirror brackets hit the door when the mirrors fold.

Has anyone upgraded their standard LED to Premium LED (non matrix)? What changes in the CCF need to be made? I tried every possible MultiCAN 679 variants and was not able to get the DRLs to work. The headlights work fine

HI,
I upgraded from base to matrix, everything works fine, surely the important ccf is 679,
even more important is that the headlights must be used, the control units on the headlights must be the original ones of the headlights (in practice the control units must not come from other random headlights) and the headlights must have a specification of your country.
Are the drls on the headlights working? aren't they defective?
if necessary, write me in Pm.

Cheers

Marco

Thanks for your reply. The headlights I bought are used from eBay. What I noticed is when putting the car in drive or reverse sometimes the four square LEDs come on, but not the bottom rings

multican-463,multican-465, multican-468,multican-470, try to look at these, if it doesn't work I think it's a problem of complex headlights and control units. on my car I mounted headlights from Germany, as soon as I installed them the drl worked, before doing the matrix coding.

That's correct you can't select dynamic with the knob you have to touch the screen Thumbs Up

Hey there! New to the group and took the plunge on the tool and so far have added:
-007 splash
-Auto Stop/Start memory
-Dynamic Mode

On Dynamic Mode, I was able to get the rotary enabled to select/engage:

MultiCAN-777 Ter Dyn Select In FCPB
Standard: Control interface not available in FCPB
Changed to: Rotary used for selection within touch screen

Seems to work well so far...also, I do have the red dials...I have a '23 130-X

Messed with this a bit this weekend. I had aftermarket fog lights added on the grill. Installer set up a relay so that the new lights would turn on with the factory fogs. Unfortunately only after did I realize that the fog lights come on with the indicators. So, I was blinding drivers every time I put the signals on. I ended up having to disconnect the added fogs.

MultiCAN-784 doesn't seem to impact this. I tried all of the options and it just changes what turns on when you hit the fog light switch. It had no effect on the fog lights turning on with the indicators.

Please let me know if anyones has any other ideas. Thanks
