Thought I might pop some pictures up of my defender. In no particular order, just it and some of the things I have done to it, for all to see Very Happy

This is how it looked back in 2008 when I was 16. The only upgrade being the alloy wheels Shocked

For comparison this was a few weeks ago

Although it is lowered and on road tyres suspension etc I still like to use it the way landrover intended. It just means I have to clean it quite often!

That better!

Interior wise it is xs spec without air-conditioning (for now Twisted Evil ) with alcantara headlining.

I have fitted range rover classic illuminated stalks and a mini Cooper steering wheel

Also every single lamp is led.

A cool shot my cousin took whilst playing around at home

That's all I have for now. Any questions or comments most welcome Mr. Green 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

Thank you GREENI Mr. Green
The photos of the deep water were at LRO 2016 off road course, I must say I got some raised eyebrows!

Although it is lowered with careful route planning and sensible application of power it will go most places a standard one would.

I'm really impressed with the Hankook tyres - the off road grip isn't far off an all terrain! I think the Ashcroft LSD centre diff helps out too Very Happy 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

I like the illuminated stalks a lot, never heard of that. Can you give more info, pictures on that?

Also did the mini steering wheel just bolt on?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Stiff1

The stalks are quite easy, all the wiring colours are the same and the slider on the wiper stalk varies the intermittent wiper delay as per the Range Rover.

They came off my donor Range Rover Classic. I had to remove the hazard part of the switch and make up a bracket to clamp the switches to the steering column. Then make a bracket to hold the main headlight switch. I did it in an afternoon.

I think I took some pictures of the process. I'll try and dig them out Thumbs Up

The mini Cooper wheel is a direct bolt on and works the canceling ring for the classic stalks nicely! 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

I'm not sure to be honest I have never counted them. My mate had it lying around in his garage and I thought I'd give it a go and it fitted! The good thing is that it is smaller but not too far away from the stalks. 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

Cheers L110CDL Thumbs Up

Because they are so good off road as standard lowering them and fitting anti roll bars still leaves them pretty good.

It does everything I want and its great on road too, the best of both worlds in my humble opinion Thumbs Up

Plus you don't have to rub them up trees and stuff to have fun off road so it stays looking nice when it is doing Chelsea tractor duties Laughing 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon
