A hose down, cab off, tilt on and she is good for Goodwood, the school run and trips to the supermarket

She will still be my daily drive as she is just great fun to drive, especially in the summer with open top but also in the winter - well I wouldn't want to get my Defender all rusty on the salt roads would I

The winch is on just needs rigging up - may put a fairlead on as it's sticks out a bit at the moment...Very pleased with the Devon4x4 winch bumper a nice solid piece of kit and well finished off.

I suspect your 110 may be the longest lasting one ever made! Defender 110XS SW gone... now VW California 180 4 Motion.

In Landy terms that accolade has already gone to a few pre production ones and then of course there is HUE 166
I have seen pictures of two new Defenders that have been cotton balled in storage from new by different owners. They sit there with their plastic seat covers on etc as new. Seems a bit much at the moment but in 40 years time we will appreciate the preservation of these motors.......Must be great to able to afford to bubble wrap a nice collection of new motors with significance - a model car collection that is REAL |

To Zagato.
Are you going to do preventive actions against rust at the prone body points like bottoms of the doors, horizontal body joints just below rear side windows, bulkhead etc? I am new to this and my observations so far tell me that these places are the first one to catch rust. br, qwert. |

Allegedly they changed the construction methods and removed or reduced the impact. Only time will tell, but i suppose as early 07's are now at 4yrs and TD5's started at 4 ish years we will soon tell. Mike |
