255/85 16 is one of the 47 sizes listed on BFG's UK website, but until now I haven't found anyone who acknowledges this and can get them.
I need to replace my 255/85 KM2s very soon so will ask my local agri tyre dealer. I'd just about come round to the idea of dropping to 235/85, but it would save replacing my unused spare to stick with 255. The only downside of the 255s is that I can't fit tyre chains, they foul the body. |

If they were 16’s I may have been tempted to try and wedge them under my arches 😂

I got mine from here, decent service but they seem low on stock now - worth a shout maybe

USA made then. Likely imported?
BFG was always a US brand but I’m not sure if the stock manufacturing always was. Good job getting them. 👍🏻 No Guts, No Glory. 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🇮🇪🇺🇸⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 |

Great looking tyre in a great size now. I'll be interested to hear how you get on with them? James

I’ll let you know how I get on. 1st impression is they are a little taller and a little narrower than the same size toyo mt but I’ll know more tomorrow when I get one on a rim. I’ll keep you posted

BPS, did those come from Paddocks, and did you get an answer to the discount question?
May I ask what you paid for them? I'm off to my local tyre dealer today if I get time to get a price, my KM2s are getting a bit skinny. |

They're definitely available now because my Defender is now sitting on four of them
First impressions are that they are vastly smoother, quieter, and more compliant than the KM2s that came off, but it must be borne in mind that they were 5 years old with something like 80k miles, and typically unevenly worn. I am surprised though just how much roughness and noise came from the old tyres. The pain of parting with a significant wad of cash is certainly tempered by the appearance, they look very purposeful. Another interesting discovery is that neither side has white writing! |

1) Good it hear they are avaible readily now. Any pics sometime possibly please? 2) Again, good to hear but the KM2's are / were very good so equal or better is excellent news. 3) Yes, £ wise they cost plenty! Good job they last as long as they do I'm sure the KM3 will too. From what I can see they have no sidewall lettering and instead have a kit to apply which is coloured. I liked the white lettering, maybe I'm the only one. But not coloured, I think blue and white or similar. Anyway, that aside one of the things I'd be most interested in is how the sidewall blocks perform and how effective they are between the KM2 and 3. You need sunken ruts to transverse though and the KM2 handled it pretty well, I think you know what I mean. No Guts, No Glory. 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🇮🇪🇺🇸⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 |

Yep! definitely the only white letter fan.
2006 TD5, I took 4 new BFs to the garage and told em I’d be back in an Hour. Guess what ? “ oh I thought you’d like the white letters sir “ So there it was with the job to be done again and one seriously tyre fitter. Still prefer the Wrangler MTR’s though. Keith |
