As Tommy Cooper said "I used to be indecisive but now I am not quite sure."

Hello
I like sawtooths as I have them (and conti's) but after 5 years I'm looking for a change also... Since lockdown though I have not used my car as much so done nothing about it... one of my options were / are these in 18" my current ones... Click image to enlarge but I also like the mini monster truck 'look' Click image to enlarge So for now I'm doing nothing |

Hi Stacey, those 18” Sawtooths would certainly look fantastic on your all black 110!
At the moment I’ve googled my way to thinking the 255/85 KM2s on my Sawtooths might be just the ticket for an all season... Roaming around 🇳🇴🇨🇭 |

Several beers worth of thought is now leading me to body coloured wolfs with 255/85 KM2s 🙈
Despite the weight, they should look nice with the unpainted fender flares and black roof. Now to sort informing SWAMBO... Roaming around 🇳🇴🇨🇭 |

Personally, I would be concerned about the turning circle with Sawtooth's and 255's, which would be helped by the offset of the Wolfs Rob

Having had both, I can say that there's about 6mm difference between Wolfs and Sawtooths. The latter have a different offset to the majority of standard LR alloys (about 22mm v 33mm), which brings the inner edge to virtually the same position as the narrower Wolf. I wouldnt be concerned with 255 on sawtooths or genuine wolf. However, personally, I'd choose Wolf style et0 rims for maximum offset to improve turning circle and look great! Just my personal opinion though. James

Thanks guys, this is a lot of help.
Seems the original Wolfs are et20,6 ? LRA are these the ones your refer to? Keeping original helps my dear Swiss inspectors stay happy... Roaming around 🇳🇴🇨🇭 |

Whatever the wheel, I do prefer them to be a different colour to the body(black on black being the exception). Wolfs yes, but against grey I'd have to say black, not body coloured. Of the remaining two, the Sawtooths as I prefer the greater contrast of the black against your grey, to the silver of the SVXs. Monsieur Le Grenadier

I run 265/75 MT’s on genuine LR 16 inch sawtooth rims. So these are wider than 255/85’s but smaller in diameter. I have not had any issues with steering lock so with the 255’s being narrower I think they will be fine on sawtooths or gen wolfs as they have the same offset. I think KM2’s have now been replaced with KM3’s.
My next set of tyres will likely be 255/85 r16 KM3’s, so will follow how you get on if you go that route. Just make sure your insurance company is aware you are running different tyres from the 235/85’s. |

LRA, perfect, thanks for the guidance. I’ve read through all the threads I could find on wolfs and learned that there is only one real HD 6.5x16 and that’s the et20,6 you referred to. The et0 copies confounded me for a bit, and they wouldn’t have worked for me as I need the DTC papers for the Swiss authorities.
Now I’m down to two finalists - 265/75 KO2s on ANRs or 255/85 KM3s on LR Wolfs. I like the 255 size better. The height and width. But dislike the weight. 45kg or so per corner is wild. The KO2s are probably more “appropriate” for the amount of tarmac driving I do but they look a bit meh in my opinion. So to my friends running KM2/3s... how bad are they really? I know it’s a mud tire. Can you reasonably drive 500 miles in a go? Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Roaming around 🇳🇴🇨🇭 |
