Some more pictures of the KM3 and that Jeep, from JL Wrangler forum.
The tyre tread looks like the centre of the KM2 with the shoulder lugs of the old MT, and aggressive side walls, as is obligatory these days. I'm a little surprised there's not more sipes, to help with wet weather and on road performance. Maybe that would be too much of a compromise for other terrain. I think it's symptomatic of JLR's indifference to the Defender heritage. A few years ago, Jeeps would have been almost universally panned on a site like this but now 'we' are feeling unloved and so have become open to other options. That's my theory, anyway Darren 110 USW BUILD THREAD - EXPEDITION TRAILER - 200tdi 90 BUILD THREAD - SANKEY TRAILER - IG@landroveranorak "You came in that thing? The lack of siping surprises me too. I expected BFG would try and get the KM3 to be snow and ice rated, like the AT KO2 is.

There's been a lot of open and frankly unpleasant admiration for Jeeps on this thread. Can I remind forum members that this is neither the dark web nor a website aimed at members secret perversions and that such strong emotional reactions to these photographs should neither be expressed nor shared. There may be children watching. I have no doubt that Martin is closely following the thread and has made a note of the members who have acted inappropriately. You know who you are Monsieur Le Grenadier

I do like the tyre a lot. Having used both STMaxx (previous tyre, run on Blindos) and KM2s (current, run on Bowlers), I've found the KM2s to be the better tyre, mainly because of its Snowflake grading and quieter road noise. But I always preferred the look of the STMaxx. Looks like BFG have pinched some of the edge and sidewall construction/look of the STMaxx and incorporated it into this tyre. So if this is also as efficient, good on snow and quiet as the current KM2, it could be my perfect tyre.
Rumoured global release is next month. Monsieur Le Grenadier I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list..... 2011 Puma 110DC - Corris Grey |

^^ Do you perhaps mean KO2 rather than KM2? The KM2 (Mud T/A) does not, as far as I know, have a snowflake mark (at least I have never notice it on mine and they are not great in snow).
