That is what works the winch, the gubbins inside and you plug the winch controller in at the top under the small flap

i was toying with opening mine, Shocked
Did i ever tell you what happened to me, with the 300 TDi ? when i ever 1st bought it, with the dealer?

When i very 1st bought the car, it was snowing, and bloody freezing. Driving to work, on a 70 mph road, and it was bitter cold. Had the heaters on but they were doing Censored all, even took a lad home too, and it was the same. My mam happened to spot the flaps slightly open when she got out of their Terr.
She said your flaps have been open all the time! So no the wonder the inside had been colder than it was out side! and me been the same colour at the same time, by the time i had reached work Laughing

This one though i have never bothered touching them. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

Great introduction of the flaps you got there Procta Wink Thumbs Up

If you do ever decide to open them, be extra slow and monitor the foam to make sure it comes with the flap and not stay on the bulkhead Thumbs Up 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up.

I love the flaps on the defender. In my opinion it's a sad ommission on the Pumas.

I will double check the foam though Confused The Yeti - 110 Camper https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic90308.html

Yes you have to be careful opening the flaps if you haven't opened them for a long time as they like to stick to the bulkhead Rolling Eyes 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up.
