Yeah Valeo do aero wipers too, they look pretty decent but without fitting them can't comment on their wiping performance. They are a little less chunky looking than the bosch ones 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

Well I have some rather exciting news! My dad has bought a 2 post car ramp this means that my defender will be in the air more than it is on the ground I already have my first job lined up for it - fitting the genuine 13 pin towing electric kit that has been sat in the workshop for months
I'm going to pick it up this weekend so will update with a couple of pictures, hopefully including installation and of course it's first use Also I thought I'd post a quick picture of my defender from last Saturday Click image to enlarge 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon 1990 Vogue SE Triumph Tiger Explorer 1200 Td5 90 Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic50767.html Tdi 110 Thread https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic69562.html RRC Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic54492.html Instagram http://www.instagram.com/george_grafton |

Looking really good Grafty! And good news on the 2 post lift - that will make life a lot easier. Wheels look good without the centre caps, think I prefer them like that. Which wheel nuts are you using? Wringtons? 2005 Td5 | 90 Station Wagon | Tonga Green

Cheers Green Machine I'm still undecided on the wheels without centre caps, I just feel it looks a bit busy. I'll live with it for a while yet though
Wheel nuts are standard with black rubber caps on them from IRB 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon 1990 Vogue SE Triumph Tiger Explorer 1200 Td5 90 Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic50767.html Tdi 110 Thread https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic69562.html RRC Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic54492.html Instagram http://www.instagram.com/george_grafton |

I always feel the centre caps for those wheels stick out too far but I'm not keen on the no centre cap look. Would it be possible to cut the centre caps down so they sit closer to the wheel face? Ray

That was one reason I removed them Ray but, as you say, I'm not particularly keen with them off either.
I might have a go at cutting them down. The edge is turned on them to for a lip to prevent them coming off. They fit over the centre first and then the wheels fit over the caps. I'll have to cut them down and then dress the edge over to re form the lip. It's a while since I've used my hammer and dolly 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon 1990 Vogue SE Triumph Tiger Explorer 1200 Td5 90 Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic50767.html Tdi 110 Thread https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic69562.html RRC Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic54492.html Instagram http://www.instagram.com/george_grafton |

I didn't realise they were metal. Is there a lot of space behind the cap? Ray

Secured a second set of caps so definately going to have a play with mine. Yeah they're steel so should be fairly simple to modify.
On the rear I'd say that there is between 25 - 30mm on the front I'd say slightly less due to the drive spline and rubber cap (which I could remove). I'd aim for the rears to protrude around 5mm from the face of the alloy. The fronts around 10mm. 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon 1990 Vogue SE Triumph Tiger Explorer 1200 Td5 90 Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic50767.html Tdi 110 Thread https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic69562.html RRC Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic54492.html Instagram http://www.instagram.com/george_grafton |

Hi grafty
It a nice easy modication on the hub covers. I cut mine down and then just used the alloy to make the lip with a hammer. Looks much better. Your 90 has moved on since I last saw it. Looks great. |
